About 1Tenth Scale

The story

1Tenth technically started in 2017 as Third Dimension Printing, making 1/10 scale accessories because most of what was out there at the time looked awful. Custom requests kept coming and it evolved into 1Tenth. It was a two person shop until 2019, then a one man show through 2024. Today it's back to one person on the bench, plus a team manager who handles social posts and helps bring new drivers along.

Who's behind it

I'm just a RC junkie like most of the people using these parts. I rarely find exactly what I want off the shelf, and no big RC shop is going to make low volume parts for one build. So I make them myself. And if I needed it, chances are another builder out there does too. Bouncers and U4 are my main competition experience, but I've podiumed in crawler comps too. Not the best driver, but great parts and dumb luck work out from time to time.

Manufacturing

1Tenth parts come out of a small shop running advanced processes: FDM, MJF, DMLS, SLS, and SLA, whichever meets the goal at the best cost. Parts are designed from 3D scans of the actual platforms and held to tight tolerances. Some mounts fit precisely enough that they'll hang on an axle without screws. Functional parts are nylon, steel, or aluminum. Many receive post processing, drilling, tapping, and the like, before being packaged and shipped. Scale accessories and some organizers are made from High Impact PLA. Not the $10.99/kg special stuff :)
